You should include a personal photograph and ensure that you have contact information including a telephone number, a clear terms/contract of agreement information, high quality beats, and a producer who has a professionally designed website when you are with Soundclick.

When you are purchasing rap beats on the internet, you should visit message board/forums to learn about other artist’s experiences purchasing rap beats on the Internet. You can find these forums/message boards for all genres of music by searching with Google. You should register for them and look for other singers and/or rappers who have purchased beats on the Internet. You can ask them for their suggestions and about their experiences and where they have purchased rap instrumental beats. This is a great way to learn about other producer’s solutions.

You have to be very careful when you are purchasing key rap component beats on the Internet. You should certainly be a producer, emcee, or artist if you want free hip or club instrumentals/beats, dirty south, or rap. There are many different free beats online. For instance there is Soundclick which has many different kinds of instrumentals/beats that range from new school dirty southern bangers to old school rap beats. This website has a number of new producers who already have links to download beats for free or will provide you with their beats for free.

To download instrumentals/beats for free from Soundclick simply logon and look at the top right of the screen and there will be a converter that will have a search button that will provide free beats when you press search. Then click on any link from the list of producers that have free beats. The producer’s page will then be made available. From there, go to the music page and you can download and listen to many different beats. You will be ready to record your next hit once you have downloaded the beat. You should ensure that you contact the composer/producer prior to using the beat for profit.

However, there are other websites that will provide you with free beats. Some of these websites offer many different kinds of free beats and some websites will offer standard beats for as little as $5. All of the emcees and artists need to remember that have control of their own destiny.

All hip hop producers need to know how to market their instrumentals. It can be very difficult to have your music heard by the right people, unless you have some connection with a platinum artist. However, technology makes this process much easier and less expensive.

Real World Design

What does real world design mean? Living, breathing art. Okay, what does that mean? When you see pretty art and design, what does it do? Looks pretty? When you see a piece that you remember over time, what has it done? It has likely solved an immediate problem for you up front, and has built a foundation for lasting value.

Picture, please, while you are out to dinner with your family, you notice there is a piece of art displayed on the wall in front of you. It proves to actually be a print you’ve seen hundreds of times, because it has become massed produced. Does this piece solve a problem for you? Well, it is pretty, but is it more likely to have solved the problem of sales for the company who produced it?

While out to dinner with your family you might notice a local artist’s depiction of a local landmark in watercolor. It is a lovely piece. The style is authentic and raw. You wonder if you’ve ever encountered this artist in town and didn’t know it. Does this piece solve a problem? To some degree, yes. If the family interaction is unpleasant, you have something to distract yourself with. Does it solve problems among the greater good? Perhaps, not.

Imagine, please, you’ve had the most pleasant experience while out to dinner with your family. A piece of modern art that is full of life, full of color, and full of intriguing objects, captures the attention of your entire family. From seven year old Sally to seventy-three year old Grandpa, this piece inspires imagination and conversation from the beginning of the evening to the end. Did this piece of art solve a problem for you? Yes, indeed. It prevented an unpleasant evening from occurring. Did it solve problems for the greater good? Yes, its value was experienced by several.

Real world art and design solves problems. When out to dinner with family, art might focus attention on family connections using art as the means. Solving problems gives art value. Who knows, maybe Grandpa will consider an art piece so valuable that he buys it for his little granddaughter Sally. Sally can then look at that painting for decades to come, because it conveys what that dinner meant to her. Art that solves immediate problems can create lasting value.

Real world design must solve one or more problems. If it does not solve any problems, what value does it have? Yes, it is pretty, but what does it DO? Real world design is not dead, rather it lives and breathes.

I cannot repeat often enough a quote from Benjamin Franklin that says, “He that cannot obey, cannot command.” Imagine, if you will, the picture, yes, the vision you have in your mind of your design, and before you is placed a pristine canvas on an easel. “I don’t paint!” you might exclaim. That’s okay, I do. My job is to take the brush in my hand and facilitate your design. Indeed, I cannot command your paintbrush, if I’m not obeying your voice.

It is likely if you see your vision of your brand emerge and start to take shape, solve your business problems, and bring you real world results in Web 2.0, Print 2.0 and beyond, you will know what real world design can means for you personally.
